Introducing Theatre…4 weighted components in the courseAlso on offer – opt into the LAMDA performance exam for extra creditsLast year’s IB performance – the performances are a superb opportunity to engage in acting, production design, technical aspects of theatre and project management. Students have opportunities to work on productions in some of Prague’s most interesting theatre spaces. This is also an excellent opportunity to collaborate with IB Visual Artists. A pandemic does not stop the productions: this year IB theatre produced an innovative virtual play, Fernando Pessoa’s timely masterpiece Disquiet. Introducing IB Visual Arts!3 components, with a large emphasis on personal practical work. IB Visual Arts allows students to work in 2D, 3D and Lens/Screen; with plenty of opportunity for personal projects and diverse interests. Students are facilitated to explore and create in a variety of styles – both representational and abstract. Ambitious exhibition pieces – created during last year’s lockdownExamples of diverse, independent studio work. Lens based/ digital media is strongly encouraged at IBSupporting work is presented in the Process Portfolio, a series of photographs, drawings, and experimental work evidencing the exploration of ideas toward refinement and completionAn example of a student who prefers to work digitallyThe written element is a series of creative slides comparing select Artists or Designers on a theme of the students’ choosingECP subsribes to InThinking Visual Arts to further support Art Students – a wealth of material, online galleries, techniques, inspiration, and fascinating articles. Also an excellent resources on creating art via distance learning. There are a range of opportunities to exhibit internally in school, online, and in prestigious external Prague locations; ECP has excellent connections with artists, designers and former students. Serious about further study in the Arts beyond school? Experienced IB teachers at ECP are able to advise and support any student interest in pursuing a creative studies at top universities
